As I drove back from Boston today I realized how peaceful a drive on a long highway can be. Left alone to your thoughts you can think about life and all the things happening around you. But mostly I wander about what has happened in the places Ive driven past. While I drive past people, cities and homes there is life in those places, and I wander what it is like to be in those places and in those people's shoes
Took a little while to upload, so this one is a bit late. but oh well. These photos are too peaceful, for me to be bothered. kind of the reason I was out for a walk and taking these photos in the first place... to get away.
I miss the days of simple illustration. where simple lines and color meant more than they appeared to be. We didn't have to be shown everything to know what is happening. In film today we see everything, which tells us more about how desensitized we are to images of death and gore. But the subtle bits of information that makes us know what is going on is so much more interesting, and employs more art and skill. The simplest form of this i noticed in an old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon. I call this sequence Crash
